How will we be studying jazz during and after corona?
So you want to study the saxophone? Sing jazz? Maybe you were already heading towards the end of your studies, even. How has this home schooling thing worked out for you? For both students and schools it must have meant improvisation on a whole different level than the one usually studied. And it doesn't look like things will get back to normal with the start of the next year of studies. This is why inJazz invited the representatives of the conservatoires of Rotterdam, Groningen and Amsterdam, popular institutions with Dutch ánd international students, to talk about the impact of the covid-19 crisis on their approach of the curriculum in 2020/2021.
Since over 25 years I have been exploring and walking the field of music, as a booking agent, tour manager, festival producer/manager, teacher and lyricist.
For me it is about connection and communication, sowing and reaping that leads to the right artists on the right stages expressing the core of their story. I am the founder of eclectic music festival FlatFest and project manager of festival So What’s Next? And I’m equally passionate about coaching young music students with merging words & music and preparing them for the professional music world.

As a guitarist Edo played and recorded with many famous artists such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Mike Mainieri, Bob Malach, Rick Margitza, Kim Thompson, Dominique di Piazza, Linley Marthe, Terri Lyne Carrington, Mitchel Forman and Zucchero. He toured all over Europe, performing at the most prestigious festivals.
