Performing Arts Fund NL: international funding and promotion
The Performing Arts Fund NL is the most important culture fund for music, music theatre, dance and theatre in the Netherlands. The fund provides support on behalf of the government to all forms of the professional performing arts. Artists and groups from the Netherlands can apply for a touring grant at the Performing Arts Fund. Interesting for international venues and festivals is the grant for Dutch presentations abroad.
The fund also organises international promotional activities trough the platform called Dutch Performing Arts. This platform consists of international delegates programmes together with Dutch festivals, Dutch focus programmes at international festivals and venues and representation at key events like jazzahead!. From 2017-2019 on, Dutch Performing Arts and Jazz Promotion Network organised the promotional programme ‘Going Dutch’ to present Dutch jazz music in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
Nod Knowles, former President of Europe Jazz Network, has had an international career including as Head of Music at Scottish Arts Council, CEO and Programme Director of Bath Festivals, founding organiser of JPN and of the Going Dutch project. He has held various advisory roles and now works in consultancy with a wide range of artists and organisations in research, review, funding, project management and artistic direction. He is currently working to develop the new European Folk Network.

Iman is a multi-reed player, arranger and composer.
Iman has a distinctive way of playing and a very personal tone on his horn. He likes to search for different ways of expressing himself in different kinds of music. His main musical goal is to have a great deal of freedom in melody, harmony and rhythm and presenting that in a comprehensible context for the listener.
Over the past years Iman has been busy with a wide variety of music groups such as Undercurrent Trio, StarkLinnemann Quartet, EyeMan All Stars, Pelican Three.
In 2019 Iman released High Tide Low Tide on Flea Boy Records with Undercurrent Trio featuring Guillermo Celano and Marcos Baggiani.

Felix Schlarmann is a German born jazz drummer, composer and educator based in Amsterdam.
With the well appreciated album Counterlife he made his recording debut as a composer on Challenge Records. Since more than ten years Felix makes part of the known Dutch powerjazz formation BRUUT!, a band that tours all over the globe and let him appear on numerous international festivals and stages. He is part of the jazz faculty at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, is a member of the Amsterdam musicians collective Splendor, and as a driven organizer within the Amsterdam jazz scene he is the founder and musical director of the highly acclaimed Jazzfestival ‘Jazzfest Amsterdam’.
For saison 2020/2021 and the near future Felix will focus on two projects he is involved in as a co-leader:
the WonderYears trio with saxophonist Jasper Blom and a new collaboration with pianist and composer Martin Fondse called Adamas Circus.

Frank Bolder (born 1965) is one of the Program Managers for the North Sea Jazz Festival Rotterdam, since 2006. He is the Music Program Manager for LantarenVenster Rotterdam since 2009. A drummer since the age of 12, Frank always did booking/bookkeeping of the bands he played in. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in arts management from HKU University of the Arts, Utrecht, he worked for 10 years as the director of the Liberty Day Music Festival in Utrecht and for 5 years as agent, tour manager and musician at Crossroads Blues Agency. Frank was the co-founder of Black & Tan Records and Frank Bolder Music Management / Bolder Music Agency. He is generally doing too much and having too many jobs at the same time.
