During May and June, Europe Jazz Network hosted a series of public online webinars. They were developed and discussed by the Europe Jazz Network think-tank that has been meeting regularly since the beginning of the crisis. The think-tank served as a way for Europe Jazz Network members to stay connected, share information and think of common responses to the many challenges that the covid-19-crisis has created.
At inJazz, four Europe Jazz Network members will reflect on the past period and give an overview of how the jazz scenes in their respective countries are dealing with the new reality.

Giambattista Tofoni is one of the founding members of the Europe Jazz Network in 1987. He started his career as a musician and switched to the production field in 1985: as artistic director and producer he organised more than 2.000 concerts in the most important Italian Festivals (Ravenna, Verona, Mantova, Crossroads, TAM, the Venice Biennale, etc.). Since 2010 he is a Board member of I-Jazz, the Italian Jazz Federation. He has also a remarkable IT expertise, having worked for telecommunication companies from 1985 to 1992. He is responsible for EJN’s vision, strategy and work programme; overseeing the work of the staff/focal points/working groups; visiting and assessing EJN activities, suggesting and creating new projects together with the Board/staff/working groups, representing EJN and its interests with other organisations, political bodies including potential members, leading on relationships with other European cultural networks and other relevant bodies.

Murat Sezgi has been actively involved in music business since 2003. From large open air festivals to club shows, he took part in various types of events in the culture and arts scene. Frank van Berkel (born 1963) is working as program director at the BIMHUIS Amsterdam, The Netherlands, since January 2018. Frank also works as a freelance programmer for festival North Sea Round Town in Rotterdam. Before that, Frank worked as a freelance music program manager in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Frank worked for Concertgebouw De Doelen, Jazz International Rotterdam, LantarenVenster and LUX in Nijmegen. He managed the New Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra, an original collective of next generation Dutch jazz musicians and sat on the advisory committee for music of the Dutch Performing Arts Fund for six years.
